Graduate/Medical Students History

While the AAHM has played host to previous incarnations of student-oriented groups, in 2003, a core group of graduate student members of the AAHM formed an informal graduate student association. The student association held an organizational meeting during the graduate student breakfast at the 2003 Boston meeting. Four graduate students of diverse age and background: Jennifer Keelan (University of Toronto), Todd Olszewski (Yale University), Jeremy Greene (Harvard University), and Ryan Gregory (University of Texas), were appointed as the first Ad-Hoc Committee on Student Affairs. The committee’s mandate was to survey the student population, assess the specific interests and needs of graduate students in the history of medicine, and determine how the AAHM might meet some of those needs.
