Selected Web Sites for the History of Medicine

There are literally thousands of web sites that deal with aspects of history, medicine, health, and disease. Links from the list below will take you other collections of links and to sites with advice for searching for information on the history of medicine. A few links to major libraries and academic departments have also been included, as well as a link to information about NLM grants for research in the history of medicine. Please send suggestions for sites with exceptional collections of updated resources and search tools to the Webmaster. Include a short description of the site that will help browsers determine its usefulness for their needs.

There has been additions to the list with information provided by Bruce Fye that gives a little background about what is on some of the sites.
